Built in the sixteenth century, this majestic palazzo, a Valletta landmark on St John Street, was converted into a hotel in the late nineteenth century. Its glory days coincided with the island’s colonial past in which Valletta was a hive of activity with British servicemen, traders and travellers flocking though its narrow streets.

The property was purchased by its current owners at the turn of the century who undertook the restoration and re-fitting of the hotel, dragging it into the twenty-first century. Whilst respecting all of the original, the hotel now boasts twenty-three uniquely styled and individually decorated rooms and suites.
